Mental Health Network

The Mental Health Network is a networking group specifically for the mental health staff in school-based and school-linked health centers and programs. Most participants are social workers working in elementary, middle and senior high schools.

Supported by the state Child and Adolescent Health Center program and coordinated by the School-Community Health Alliance of Michigan, quarterly meetings are held throughout Michigan. The purpose of these meetings is to network with each other, share information about what is working in centers, and discuss challenges related to providing mental health services in school-based health centers. The meeting agendas are set by the previous meeting generally and often times feature a guest speaker. Meetings are limited to 25 people and run from 10:00am - 2:00pm with lunch included.

Past discussion topics: Medicaid Billing, Advocacy, Substance Abuse, Confidential Services, Group Therapy Sessions and Evidence Based Curriculum and Forms.
