Executive Director
The School-Community Health Alliance of Michigan (SCHA-MI), a collaboration of individuals and organizations that represent and support school-based and school-linked health centers and programs, seeks a dynamic executive director with experience in strategic planning and business acumen combined with effective government relations experience and knowledge of the state and national human services infrastructure. SCHA-MI supports the belief that all Michigan children and youth have a basic fundamental right to access and receive comprehensive primary medical and mental health care and prevention services. SCHA-MI is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, created in 2004, with a staff of ten and a budget of over $1 million.
SCHA-MI is a progressive organization that any top-level chief executive with excellent communication skills and the ability to work in multiple systems would be proud to lead. The organization, headquartered in Lansing, Michigan, offers a competitive compensation package including a 401(k) plan, medical, dental, life, and long-term disability insurance.
The organization requires an ethical individual that has a Master’s Degree plus five years experience in a managerial or leadership position. The skill set must include knowledge of fund raising, including seeking grants, finance and budget and excellent writing ability. The executive must possess a passion for the SCHA-MI mission and a commitment and ability to lead the organization.
Professional travel to represent the organization is estimated to be a quarter of the position. Knowledge and utilization of the newest technologies is expected.
